Traffic advice and short cuts:
Experience has told us that the best way here from London direction is taking the M4. The M3 and A303 is a very long slow road, particularly at weekends and high season .
Often the traffic is very heavy around the M4/M5 junction (15/20) and the new few exits 16,17,18 around Cribbs Causeway on the M5. A slightly longer but usually traffic free route is to stay on the M4 for 2 more junctions then exit @ junction 22 onto the M49 DO NOT TAKE THE M48 this will then rejoin the M5 at junc 18a hopefully missing all the congestion. The same route applies in the reverse on way back.
